How Can a Graft Help?

Occasionally, the gum line will recede more than is normal or healthy. Not only is this aesthetically undesirable, but it can also create conditions for excessive decay.

In this case, your dentist may recommend a graft of soft tissue to the gum area. This procedure will involve removing a portion of soft skin tissue from one area of your mouth and grafting it into the receded area. The graft may come from your own palate or it may come from a donor source. Ultimately, the goal is to cover any exposed root in order to protect the gum line and reduce sensitivity.

Once these procedures have been employed and the receding is under control, your dentist may feel that it is best to use a soft-tissue graft in order to correct any damage that has already occurred.

After arrival, I was welcomed and instructed what to do and what forms should I fill as a new patient. Next I was in the room when an amazing angel named Stefani helped me through my visit. The doctor was also great (unfortunately I don’t remember the name) and they both spend quite some time to explain everything to me with some treatment options and also gave quotes for both options. If you are looking for a place which treats their patients as their own family that’s the place. I will be definitely coming back.
